Founder of O.S. Anderson Engineering, Inc. in 1975, Dr. Anderson now provides vision and mentoring as well as technical leadership to this successor firm. The challenge of this business and his need to find the cause and origin of a fire keeps him engaged year after year.

Dr. Anderson has gained national distinction for 25 years of forensic engineering experience and is highly sought after to solve some of the toughest electrical fire cause and origin cases.

Dr. Anderson has determined the cause of electrical accidents in which electrocution, electric shock, and severe injuries have occurred.

In addition to his career in forensic science, Dr. Anderson has nearly 17 years of college teaching experience. After completing his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering he taught engineering at the University of North Dakota - Grand Forks. Upon completion of his Masters in Electrical Engineering, he taught engineering at the University of Missouri - Rolla and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Dr. Anderson continued to teach at the University of Wisconsin - Madison after he completed his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering and then went on to teach engineering at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Dr. Anderson was also a professor of physics and electrical engineering for five years, as well as the acting program coordinator at Mankato State University.

Dr. Anderson holds a patent for a Multi-mode Dielectric Loaded Double-Flare Antenna. He also co-founded Rho Delta, a research and development company, where he served as a director and as Chair of the Board. Rho Delta facilitated the generation of several other businesses; Innova which manufactures a communication system that utilizes the patented antenna; Phenix which utilizes renewable and recycled resources in the production of building products; MITOR which manufactured efficient lighting products to replace incandescent light sources.

His consulting work includes projects in communications, control failures, illumination, electronic and electric circuit design, transient voltage and current analysis, cause and origin of fires, and accident reconstruction.
